New Wedding TV Show - Married at First Sight

“Married at First Sight” is an extreme social experiment following six brave souls who are yearning for a life-long partnership as they agree to a provocative proposal: getting legally married the moment they first meet.

New wedding themed tv show

There are 4 experts who play matchmaker and create 3 couples who will never meet until their wedding day. The show follows them for 6 weeks after their wedding and decide at that point whether to continue or separate.

The show is on the FYI Network, an A&E channel. I'm always up for new wedding shows but this may be a little too extreme with the whole "arranged marriage" subject. What do you think?

7 Money-Saving Tricks No Bride Should Ever Resort To

SheFinds.com has an interesting slideshow with 7 Money-Saving Tricks No Bride Should Ever Resort To. Some of these are a no-brainer for most brides and grooms on a budget, but a few may have you thinking you can pull it off. Read on to find out why there are major pitfalls.

Don't skimp on the food! Try a sushi station to impress your guests!

A few of the Wedding Budget Saving No-No's are:
  1. Food Skimping
  2. Fake flowers
  3. Asking for Cash
Being a Wedding DJ, Entertainer, and professional MC, my favorite one is the iPod DJ. The Shefinds.com article explains the basics well enough.
"Let’s be honest: iPod playlists are for pregaming and the gym. So leave your wedding music to the professionals. First of all, there’s the setup–you need someone experienced to take care of it. (Do you really want a blown speaker during your first dance?) And even if having total control over your playlist and avoiding the DJ cost sounds attractive, give it some thought–you’ll also be giving up any sort of emcee for your reception. And what happens when the crowd isn’t feeling your mix? A DJ can adjust in real time–your playlist is pretty much set once you hit play."

Wedding Rings: Stackable Wedding Bands

The hottest trend right now in Wedding Rings is stackable wedding bands. Unlike the traditional single wedding band, stackable wedding bands are made of multiple smaller bands that are worn in sets of two to four. They can be similar in design and style or each one unique that is styled to work well together. It's a fun way to add a little variety to the standard wedding ring.

Would you wear stackable wedding bands or go for the more traditional single band?

Wedding Etiquette: Guests Sharing of Wedding Photos

With everyone nowadays having cell phones with Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, etc. on there, it's almost too easy to take a pic or post a comment. Which brings us to the topic of wedding etiquette and social media sharing at weddings.

The "Today Show" has an informative video interviewing wedding etiquette expert Amber Harrison of Wedding Paper Divas. As a Wedding DJ, I have seen many guests staring at their phones instead of enjoying the action.

Check out the video and let us know your thoughts on social media sharing at weddings.
